St Augustine’s – Fairs and Craft Events in Brighton

Hosting your fair and craft event at our venue

There are so many possibilities when it comes to using our centre as a venue.

We are able to cater to small gatherings and large parties up to 500 people in our large main area.

EARTH cafe dessert

Our plant based cafe, ‘Earth’ is able to cater your party with our vegan dishes or we can outsource catering for you if you’d prefer something different.

We have built in lighting and sound equipment for any music you’d like to play or use of plugs for any of the stalls should they need it.

We have two main areas that can be used for multiple occasions in our centre:

Arts & Crafts - Altar Area

The Altar:

This space is good for small gatherings and fair with fewer stalls. It works well for reading and writing workshops or art exhibitions. In this space we can have up to 120 people seated or 200 people standing.

Arts & Crafts - Main Hall

The Main Hall:

This is our largest area in the centre and can host a variety of occasions. It is perfect for larger fairs and crafting events with more stalls. It also works well for bigger reading and writing workshops or larger exhibitions. We can have up to 500 people in this area. This is the space best used for Christmas parties too!

Fairs and Craft Events in our Centre

Our Main Hall is the perfect space for hosting fairs and craft events.

The large space offers room for lots of stalls to be set up to sell their goods.

At St Augustine’s we are huge advocates for supporting local businesses and providing a space for these events to happen fulfills our passion for this.

The Main Hall can accommodate up to 500 people when standing, this is reduced when stalls are involved however it’s still the perfect space to host these events.

Makers Fair - Garden

Once the stalls are arranged we can have up to 400 people in the main hall.

We love to host these events as they bring in new and vibrant people and support local makers and crafters in the area.

We love to see people flocking in and purchasing handmade items from our local artists.

Charity events are also welcome here, we have hosted many before and the space offers itself well to these larger events.

Book clubs, writing groups and other workshops are also fantastic to host here due to the calm and relaxing space we have on offer.

The creativeness in the church lends itself as a place of imagination and relaxation.

In the past we have had film previews too from directors and producers.

We often have exhibitions in the Main Hall too to showcase our local creatives.

There is also a constant selection of artwork and sculptures displayed in the hall for visitors to enjoy while events are not taking place.

Having an exhibition at St Augustine's was a great experience. The staff are eager to help and you feel very supported while there. It is a great space to exhibit in, with a lot of people calling in to use the other facilities. The atmosphere of the place is very special, it feels very inclusive and has great energy.
